Lydia – Period Drama Hub
I wasn’t to sure if Godless was for me but I finally watched it. The story has elements from history but is not based on a true story. It is set in an isolated mining town called ‘La Belle’ in New Mexico. The town which is mostly governed by women are forced to face the notorious outlaw Frank Griffin and his murderous gang. Even thou this is not my normal type of period drama I enjoyed it all the same.
La Belle (also known as Labelle) once existed and has now become a ghost town. I did a little research and found an interesting blog about Le Belle and other ghost towns – check it out. http://ghosttowns.placesandpics.com/new-mexico/labelle-nm/
