In 1800s England, a well-meaning but selfish young woman meddles in the love lives of her friends.
In 1862, daredevil balloon pilot Amelia Wren teams up with pioneering meteorologist James Glaisher to advance human knowledge of the weather and fly higher than anyone in history. While breaking records and advancing scientific discovery, their voyage to the very edge of existence helps the unlikely pair find their place in the world they have left far below them. Interesting fact about the novel - It was originally titled First Impressions, and was written between October 1796 and August 1797. Austen made significant revisions to the manuscript for First Impressions between 1811 and 1812. She then renamed the story Pride and Prejudice around 1811/1812.
